The BEACH FESTIVAL will feature plenty of fine food and beverages, tastefully served up by local restaurants and food purveyors....and the BEACH FESTIVAL will have an expanded children's area with rides, games and attractions for kids of all ages. Add to this a larger exhibitor area with over 100 booths displaying selected arts and crafts and homemade food items, makes for a two day weekend of fun, food, beverages and entertainment for the whole family.

School Supplies Needed for Backpack Program (Charity)

The Backpack School Supply Program run by Many Mansions' Children Services Program assists low-income residents with purchasing supplies for children and teens currently enrolled in school. With the support of the community each student is given a brand new backpack, which includes supplies needed to start their school year ready and prepared for learning.
How Can You Help
In-kind or monetary donations are accepted. The Backpack School Supply Program is in need of the following items:
Backpacks, pens, pencils, compasses
Colored markers, pencil sharpeners with catchers
Highlighters, colored pencils, scissors
Rulers, protractors, calculators
Subject separators, scotch tape, binders (all sizes)
College and wide ruled paper, pink erasers
A total of 300 of each item is needed to fill enough backpacks for Many Mansions resident children. If you are unable to bring in items on the wish list, monetary donations are accepted as well. All donations must be received by Children Services no later than Thursday, August 23, 2007 by 4:30pm PST.

Solutions to your toughest computer questions at 8:30 a.m. (Educational)

Location: Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo
Get the answers and solutions to your most toughest computer questions at the three and half hour monthly Channel Islands PC User Group meeting held on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting is open to the public and is free. The meeting starts with a choice of two smaller one-hour meetings for all computer beginners and for e-mail and Internet problems. This is followed by a two-hour Question and Answer meeting on all and any computer problems; there is a 30-minute "coffee break" after the first hour. The club's monthly 20-page newsletter is available for all guests. The meeting location is at the Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo, 1500 Temple Avenue, at the southeastern corner of Ponderosa Drive and Temple Avenue, in Camarillo. Visit our website www.cipcug.org
