First Annual Ventura County Jewish Film Festival (Arts and Entertainment)

Ventura County is getting its own Jewish Film Festival!
Four new movies will be screened over the weekend in the festival open to the public. "We are bringing new and exciting, Jewish themed movies from around the world to the community for the first time", noted Sam Goldberg, chairman of the film festival committee.
The festival will open Saturday, March 27th at 8:00 PM with the major film to be announced. The powerful and provocative documentary, "Hitler's Secretary", will be screened on Sunday, March 28th at 10:00 AM, followed by a panel discussion. Several short films aimed at a teen audience will screen Sunday afternoon. The festival will close with another major movie on Sunday evening.
The program is made possible by a grant from the Jewish Federation of Ventura County and from generous donors.

Billed as a "trivial comedy for serious people", Earnest is a charming story of young love gone awry in Victorian England in the 1890's. Algy is in love with Cecily, Jack is in love with Gwendolyn and Cecily and Gwendolyn are both in love with Ernest. Who is Ernest is earnest?
