Seaside Park is 62 acres of oceanfront property in the City of Ventura. It is the home of the annual Ventura County Fair, and hosts a wide variety of business, sports, entertainment and social events throughout the year. Seaside Park is also the home of the luxurious Derby Club.
The excitement of thoroughbred, harness and quarter horse racing from both Northern and Southern California tracks is telecast live year-round to The Derby Club, along with the Triple Crown races and other special races from around the country, and the world. Guests can wager on their favorite horse (or their best hunch!) at track odds, and receive instant payoffs when they pick a winner.
The Derby Club at Seaside Park is one of the premier off-track horse racing wagering facilities in California. Situated on the beach in beautiful Ventura, the 36,000 square foot, $5.7 million facility offers three distinct levels of service. The comfortable downstairs "Shore Room" is equivalent to the general admission areas at the live tracks and provides snack bar-style food service as well as bar service. The second floor Surfside Room features food and beverage service at your table and upgraded furnishings and amenities. The top level of service is provided in the elegant Island View Club, with first-class decor, its own parimutuel tellers, food and beverage service, outdoor deck and a panoramic view of the Southern California coastline and the Channel Islands in addition to a wide array of television monitors, including small personal monitors on some tables. The Derby Club also offers annual memberships.
