Jason Jeffries

Jason Jeffries was born on the island of Montreal, Canada (Eh!) and is an 20 year radio veteran who began his career in Southern California ...When he was 4 years old, his dad bought him a tape recorder (remember those?) and he would pretend to be a DJ and was fascinated with the blinking light. He grew up in Sherman Oaks, CA and his first job was a grocery clerk.  At the store, Jason changed the elevator music to rock n' roll and helped boost business by making it an inviting and hip place to shop.  As a hobby, he created mixed music tapes for his friends and would play them in the store.  Jason’s first job in radio was a remote engineer at KBET in Canyon Country, CA.  From there, it was on to the legendary 1110 AM KRLA Los Angeles where he produced the legendary Huggy Boy & Art Laboe radio programs.  A stop at sister station KLSX in the early 90's cemented his classic rock roots.  Jason Jeffries has held many positions in radio such as station manager, program director, producer & engineer to the stars, & on-air talent at many Los Angeles radio stations including KRLA, KLSX, KZLA, KLAC, KWNK and the Music of Your Life.  Jason is a musicologist with a huge record, CD, and mp3 collection. He is proud to have found a home at his favorite radio station and be a part of the Octopus on air staff & family….Jason Jeffries is on your radio 5 nights a week from 7:00PM to Midnight taking requests and suggestions. Call him at (805) 339-9590 and bright and early Sunday mornings from 6:00AM to 10:00AM. Send him an e-quest!
