The Who's "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" Due July 22

Originally expected in March on SPV, The Who’s "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" will be released July 22 through Steamhammer Records. The two-disc set is an audio companion to the legendary rock act's 2001 DVD of the same name, chronicling the band's 2000 Teenage Cancer Trust benefit concerts at the London venue. Those shows featured guest appearances by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Oasis' Noel Gallagher, and Jam/Style Council frontman Paul Weller.

Two tracks not on the DVD, "Mary Anne With the Shaky Hand" and "Getting in Tune" featuring Vedder, have been added to the CD release.

The set will feature a limited-edition bonus disc featuring featured four songs -- "I'm Free," "Young Man Blues," "Summertime Blues," and "I Don't Even Know Myself" -- recorded in February 2002 at the London venue, which turned out to be John Entwistle's last show with the band. The bassist died June 27, 2002, in Las Vegas on the eve of the band's North American tour kickoff.

Like the concerts and the DVD, proceeds from the CD set will benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust.
