Heart Jams With Pearl Jam
Seattle heavies Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart , and Pearl Jam jammed onstage Sunday night (6/8) at the MGM Grand to a thrilled crowd. The musicians were so into it that Nancy Wilson and Pearl Jam lead Eddie Vedder each took a turn falling down during the excitement of the performance. Neither were hurt. Heart was in Las Vegas rehearsing for their Alive In America tour, when they turned up at Pearl Jam's show, which is part of the rock band's current US tour. Both groups rocked out together to an encore performance of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World" with Nancy Wilson on guitar and sister Ann singing back up vocals for Vedder. As the last song of the night, the audience went so wild that the venue's management turned on the house lights while the show continued. There were no incidents. Heart will begin their official tour on June 14 to support their new Alive In Seattle DVD and CD. Their new all-star band will consist of guitarist Gilby Clarke ( Guns N' Roses), bassist Mike Inez (Alice In Chains), drummer Ben Smith (Love Mongers) and keyboardist Darian Sahanaja (Wondermints, Brian Wilson).
