Mellencamp Turns To Acting Rocker John Mellencamp added to his acting resume last night (January 23) at the Sundance Film Festival. Mellencamp stars in the film After Image, which screened for the first time to a packed audience at the Park City, Utah, event. Mellencamp plays a sullen crime-scene photographer who inadvertently becomes the focus of a madman's attention. Louise Fletcher, who won an Oscar for her performance as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, is also featured in the film as Mellencamp's elderly aunt. Mellencamp previously directed and starred in the 1992 independent film Falling From Grace, and he also directed a video for the Bob Dylan song "Political World." -- Sofia Fernandez, Park City, Utah (launch.com)
