Neil Young Album Release Set
Neil Young has set March 26 as the release date for his latest solo album, Are You Passionate? Interestingly, Young will be on the road at the time, in the midst of a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) tour that plays the America West Arena in Phoenix that night.
The 11-track album features "Let's Roll," the ominous rocker inspired by the story of Todd Beamer and United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania on September 11 after the passengers attacked the plane's hijackers, who were allegedly planning a suicide mission to Washington, D.C.
Young recorded Are You Passionate? with a band that includes Booker T. & the MG's alumni Booker T. Jones on keyboards and Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass, Crazy Horse's Frank "Poncho" Sampedro on guitar, and Steve "Smokey" Potts on drums. Jones, Dunn, and Potts will back CSNY on their upcoming tour, which kicks off February 6 at the Palace Of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and runs through April 25 in Chicago.
The full lineup of Crazy Horse, meanwhile, performs on one Are You Passionate? track, the nearly nine-minute hard rock jam "Goin' Home."
The full tracklist for Are You Passionate? includes: "You're My Girl," "Mr. Disappointment," "Differently," "Don't Say You Love Me," "Let's Roll," "Are You Passionate?", "Goin' Home," "When I Hold You In My Arms," "Be With You," "Two Old Friends," and "She's A Healer."
